A peptide compound consists of two groups of peptides: Pal-GHK and Pal-GQPR. These peptides function in a similar manner to Vitamin C and in many cases, their performance exceeds the functioning of the vitamin’s natural version. The matrikines (messengers of cutaneous restructuration and repair) firm the skin while stimulating the production of collagen to repair age damage.
Furthermore, they strengthen the membranes and the protective skin barriers, by activation of neosynthesis of extracellular matrix macromecules to facilitate skin cells to withstand the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Results: Matrikines from Matrixyl®3000 show a complementary gene activation profile with respect to the major mechanisms involved in cutaneous restructuration.
